This project wasn't my favorite. I couldn't find any inspiration to do anything, so i ended up doing something random. However I really like how the paint globs came out. They look like the actual globs found in a real lava lamp. I also like the copper part since it gives a metallic feel t=o the part of the lava lamp. Also the sharpie points looked good too. But i also had a mistake on the left side of the page. A blue dot of paint got there, and we accidentally rubbed it which made it worse. So we tried to cover it up with some gray but it didn't work as planned.
This was a fun project, and I think you chose a great object! Sometimes random is good! I don't think I caught your artistic behaviors mentioned here, but you did a great job of explaining your methods. I think I was able to explain my process and put the behaviors in there too! Nice job though Gianna!
Artwork is always best when we're feeling inspired, so I admire your resolve to stay with this piece even though you weren't feeling it! And hopefully you learned a few things along the way. The silver metallic paper with the pointillism dot values is definitely one of the stronger areas along with the blue lava. I think the smudge area could possibly be masked with an extra piece of text...?
