I had a lot of fun with this project. I just found a picture online, which inspired me to draw bubbles. It was really fun and i love the way it looks on camera. This is where i started to like the idea of realistic drawing and this will lead me into my identity piece.
I really enjoyed this project. I was able to find a lot of inspiration, and that is why I made two pieces. The first one is a map of the world that is a silhouette. I cut out the shapes of the continents, and used glue dots to separate them from the white paper. Since I used glue dots, there was a nice shadow that was underneath the continents, and I love the effect it displays.
The second project was a map of Boston. I carved out all the roads and then printed them with different inks and colors. It was a really fun project and i enjoyed the easy carve a lot. It was so much easier than Linoleum. This project wasn't my favorite. I couldn't find any inspiration to do anything, so i ended up doing something random. However I really like how the paint globs came out. They look like the actual globs found in a real lava lamp. I also like the copper part since it gives a metallic feel t=o the part of the lava lamp. Also the sharpie points looked good too. But i also had a mistake on the left side of the page. A blue dot of paint got there, and we accidentally rubbed it which made it worse. So we tried to cover it up with some gray but it didn't work as planned.
The conte crayon was new to me when we used it this time. It was really fun actually. NAturally i started out sketching a pumpkin, because pumpkins are my favorite. But I used cooperation, and agreed to draw a pepper instead of a pumpkin, when Mrs. Haggerty asked.
